Working Of Profile Extrusion Line

 

 

Feeding Raw Material

Raw material, such as plastic pellets or metal granules, is loaded into the hopper. The feed rate is controlled to ensure a steady supply into the extruder.

 

Melting and Mixing

The raw material enters the extruder’s heated barrel, where a rotating screw conveys, melts, and homogenizes it. Temperature zones along the barrel are precisely controlled to optimize melting and mixing.

 

Shaping through Die

The molten material is pushed through a specially designed die that shapes it into the desired profile. The die's design determines the cross-sectional shape and dimensions.

 

Cooling Process

The extruded profile exits the die and enters a cooling chamber, often filled with water or air, to solidify and maintain shape integrity.

 

Cutting and Finishing

Once cooled, the continuous profile is cut into specified lengths. Additional finishing processes, such as surface treatment or coating, may be applied depending on the application.
